Ingredients

For the dough:

170g dairy free butter

1 1/2 dl sugar

3 packages of saffron

12-14 dl of flour

1/2 tsp salt

5 dl oat milk

50 g yeast

For the filling:

220g dairy free butter

1 1/2 dl sugar

4 tsp vanilla sugar

How to make saffron buns:

  • Preheat the ovan to 225 degrees C

  • Crumble the yeast in a bowl

  • Melt the butter

  • Heat the milk to 37 degrees

  • Then add the saffron

  • Pour the milk mixture over the yeast

  • Then add sugar, salt and flour and knead the dough for 10-15 min

  • Let it rise for 45 min

  • Meanwhile mix butter, sugar and vanilla sugar.

  • Roll out the dough to a rectangle

  • Spread out the butter mix and fold the dough over

  • Roll the dough in to swirls and place it on a baking tray and let it raise for 30 min.

  • Brush gently with non-dairy milk and add pearl sugar.

  • Bake in the oven for 8 minutes
